TIME + LOCATION
I advise planning to shoot about an hour after sunrise or an hour before sunset for the best lighting. This time of day gives photos a magical air- it’s called “golden hour” and it creates very flattering photos! If this is not possible because you have young children or another reason, we can always plan for a different time of day :)
My favorite spots to shoot are at Fort Fisher (just a few minutes south of Carolina Beach on Pleasure Island), as well as Carolina Beach + Wrightsville Beach. All of these locations offer stunning views + scenic backgrounds for Family Photos.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
I always recommend to base your outfits on neutral color that will go well together (tan, white, black, blue, etc), without any busy patterns or logos. Feel free to dress it up or down to your style- You may be a cocktail dress + suit kind of couple, or jeans and a white t-shirt- it’s your photoshoot so do what feels like you!
